Recipe Ingredients

This recipe is dedicated to my Grandmother: Virginia Mae Howse, this was her favorite recipe, I hope you enjoy it.

2 lbs. Hamburger meat
1 onion diced
1 large bell pepper
1 Large can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups uncooked rice measured
1 can water

Recipe Directions

Place rice in large microwaveable bowl and add 4 cups of water to rice and let cook for 20 minutes on power 6 or 7 or medium heat. Place Hamburger meat in wok or Large skillet with diced onion and let brown. Drain off excess grease and then add bell pepper and let
simmer until bellpepper is softened. Add cream of mushroom soup and add 3/4 to 1 can of water depending on how much juice or sauce you like, let simmer until rice is done and serve over the rice. (optional) If you like, instead of breaking up the meat, you can make meatballs out of it, to do so, just add onion and bell pepper in with meat and add an egg to hold it together and add a few cracker crumbs and roll in a ball and then brown evenly in skillet and then add mushroom soup and water and let simmer...
